Rooted in the Rockies.
Committed to Your Legacy.

At Solomon River Resources, we don't just buy mineral rights-we build relationships. As a family-owned firm, we understand that land is more than an asset; it's a legacy. We provide a professional, transparent alternative to the "Big Oil" approach.

A Tradition
of Integrity

Founded on the values of hard work and honest dealings, Solomon River Resources began as a way to help our neighbors navigate the complexities of the energy industry. Our family has deep roots in the Rocky Mountain region, and we've spent years witnessing the challenges landowners face when dealing with large, impersonal operators.

We saw a need for a boutique firm that treats landowners like people, not numbers on a spreadsheet. Today, we specialize in acquiring mineral and royalty interests across Colorado, North Dakota,  and the broader Rocky Mountain region, providing families with the liquidity they need and the respect they deserve.

Meet the Team

Solomon River Resources was founded in July 2024 by its primary principal in the backyard of his parents’ house, with the support of his wife, father-in-law and parents. Between the founders, they have over 65 years of experience in the oil and gas industry from the oil and gas service side of the business all the way to the oil and gas operator side of the industry.

Solomon River Resources has three generations of family working for the company. Our focus is on mineral rights acquisitions primarily in the DJ Basin of Colorado and the Williston Basin of North Dakota. The business has been built on honesty, integrity, trust, transparency, and long-term relationships.

The day-to-day business is run by a husband-and-wife team, Matt and Brooke Reames. They take pride in working directly with mineral owners and providing straightforward, honest communication throughout every step of the divestment process.

Our Approach is Simple

Treat people the way we want our own family treated. We understand that mineral rights are often tied to family legacy and land, and important financial decisions, and we don’t take that lightly.

When we’re not working, we’re busy raising our two young boys and building a life centered around family and hard work. Those same values carry into how we run the family business- personally, responsibly, and with integrity.

Whether you’re looking to sell, explore your options, or just ask questions, we’re here to help without pressure.

Why We Choose
Not to Drill

A Buyer, Not a Builder

Our business model is simple: We acquire. We do not operate. This is a conscious choice. By remaining an acquisition firm, we eliminate the conflict of interest between "extraction" and "stewardship." We are purely a financial partner, allowing us to focus 100% of our energy on fair valuations and smooth title transfers, rather than managing drill sites.
